Since receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Art/Advertising from Mississippi State University in 1983, Michael has worked as an award-winning graphic designer, art director and account executive in the advertising industry. He owned a free-lance graphic design studio, Pabst Creative Graphics, prior to incorporating Pabst Creative Communications, Inc., as a full-service advertising agency in 1992.

His professional and community affiliations include membership in the American Advertising Federation, the Tenth District of the American Advertising Federation, the Shreveport-Bossier Advertising Federation (past president and board member), Shreveport-Bossier Association of Advertising Agencies, Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau, Shreveport-Bossier Sports Foundation, Independence Bowl Foundation, the Better Business Bureau, the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation and Business Exchange, Inc. Michael has been involved with the Red River Early Bird Toastmasters Club (past president), Highland Area Partnership (served on communications committee), Louisiana Restaurant Association, Shreveport-Bossier Hotel/Motel Association, Shreveport-Bossier Board of Realtors (served on publications committee), the Jim Leslie Scholarship Foundation and Junior Achievement of North Louisiana (past board member and volunteer).

Michael has been happily married to the former Carol Flowers since 1986 and is the proud father of two great boys, Mitch and George. In his leisure time he enjoys renovating old homes, restoring old cars and helping coach the C.E. Byrd High School Boys Lacrosse Team.
